CUIABÁ, SEDE DEL CAMPEONATO PANAMERICANO DE SAMBO

Sambistas de 20 países, participarán en el evento más importante de este deporte en el continente americano

Este 23 de agosto comenzarán las emociones del Campeonato Panamericano de Sambo, evento que contará con la participación de los mejores sambistas de 20 países de las Américas.

Para este 2024, el escenario elegido es Centro Deportivo Aecim Tocantins ubicado en la ciudad de Cuiabá, Estado de Mato Grosso, donde se llevarán a cabo las competencias de Sambo Deportivo Sambo Playa y Sambo Combate, tanto en hombres como en mujeres.

Para los luchadores de Combat SAMBO (mujeres, hombres), este torneo será una de las etapas de selección para los Juegos Mundiales, que se realizarán del 7 al 17 de agosto de 2025 en Chengdu (República Popular China), «Este año, la geografía de los torneos continentales se ampliará: el Campeonato Panamericano de SAMBO se realizará en Brasil por primera vez. Estoy seguro de que para los fanáticos del deporte local, la realización de una competencia tan grande será un incentivo más para el desarrollo del SAMBO en el país. Los fanáticos y los atletas podrán ver el SAMBO de alto nivel con sus propios ojos y seguramente se sentirán inspirados para practicar este arte marcial. No tengo dudas de que la Confederación Brasileña de SAMBO hará todo lo posible para garantizar que el campeonato continental se realice al más alto nivel», dijo Eliseo Romero, presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Sambo (UPASA).

La transmisión online de la competición se realizará en el portal de vídeo Sambo.Live, los resultados estarán disponibles online en el portal de información de FIAS: INFOPORTAL.

PAÍSES PARTICIPANTES: Argentina, Bolivia, Canadá, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estados Unidos, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, México, Nicaragua, República Dominicana, Trinidad y Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela y por su puesto Brasil.

Sambistas from 20 countries will participate in the most important event of this sport in the American continent

Cuiabá, Brazil, August 23, 2024. This August 23, the emotions of the Pan American Sambo Championship will begin; an event that will feature the participation of the best Sambo players from 20 countries in the Americas.

For 2024, the chosen venue is the Aecim Tocantins Sports Center located in the city of Cuiabá, State of Mato Grosso, where the Sambo Sporrts, Sambo Beach and Sambo Combat competitions will be held, both for men and for women.

For Combat SAMBO wrestlers (women, men), this tournament will be one of the stages of selection for the World Games, which will be held from August 7 to 17, 2025 in Chengdu (People’s Republic of China), «This year, the geography of continental tournaments will expand – the Pan American SAMBO Championships will be held in Brazil for the first time.
